Developed by the University of Aberdeen in partnership with Unilever Corporation, the Cool Farm Tool (CFT) GHG calculator is designed for full accounting (GHG emissions and carbon sequestration) at the farm level. Originally an excel-based tool, the CFT is now an online tool. It aims to help farmers evaluate farming management options for improving their carbon balance performance over time. Carbon balance estimates are done using IPCC methods and empirical research.
