Methods

A suite of methods has been developed for estimating emissions and evaluating mitigation options from agriculture, which basically vary in terms of precision and complexity (Olander et al. 2014). These methods can be divided into the form of direct field measurements (e.g., SAMPLES), GHG calculators (Colomb et al. 2012), statistical models (Wilkes et al. 2020), and process-based simulators (Denef et al. 2012).
